Sentence pattern
越来越 presents a continuing trend: a town gets warmer, the number of cafés grows, or someone enjoys cooking more and more. Put it before the adjective or suitable state verb that describes the developing change.
Do not add 很 between 越来越 and an adjective. 越来越 already supplies the changing degree. It also differs from 越…越…, which links variation in one factor with variation in another; here the focus is a trend over time. Sentence-final 了 is common when the development has become noticeable.

Avoid这座城市越来越很热闹。
Use这座城市越来越热闹。
越来越 directly modifies 热闹. Leave out 很 rather than stacking two degree expressions in this pattern.
