How to use 得多、多了
A + 比 + B + Adjective + 很多 / 得多 / 多了
A comparison can specify that the difference is large by adding 很多, 得多, or 多了 after its adjective. The 比 phrase names the reference point, and the final expression describes the size of the gap. This differs from putting 很 before the adjective, which is not the ordinary way to build this comparative pattern.
The reference can sometimes remain unspoken when the context already supplies it. 多了 is especially common in short remarks about an improvement or a marked change from an earlier state. These expressions communicate a substantial difference without giving an exact numerical measurement. Choose an adjective that identifies the dimension being compared so the meaning of “much” remains clear.
