How to use 何况；更何况
Established case，(更)何况 + stronger inferred case + (呢)
何况 extends an argument from an established case to another where the conclusion follows even more readily. It can support a positive conclusion or strengthen a negative one. English may use let alone, much less, or all the more, depending on the direction of the comparison. The first clause often uses 连…都 to make the initial evidence especially clear.
Put the further case after 何况, with 更 optionally reinforcing the progression. A rhetorical question ending in 呢 can leave the shared predicate understood. Check the scale carefully: an easier case follows a demonstrated ability, while a harder case may follow an inability. The words themselves do not determine whether the argument is positive or negative.

Children can understand what this sentence means, let alone the adults.
他连那么难的题都会， 何况一个这么简单的题呢？
He can answer a question that hard, let alone answer one that easy.
我奶奶连高铁都没坐过， 何况飞机呢？
My grandmother hasn't even taken the high-speed train, let alone the airplane.
宝宝连走都不会，更何况跑呢？
The baby can't even walk, let alone run.

- Choose a second case that supports the same conclusion more clearly.
