How to use 另外
⋯⋯ ,另外 ,⋯⋯
另外 can introduce another point alongside what has already been said. As a clause connector, it often begins the additional statement, and 还 or 也 may appear later to reinforce the additive relationship. The new point can provide another fact, requirement, or consideration within the same broad topic.
Before a verb, 另外 can instead describe doing something separately, additionally, or beyond the existing arrangement. The action and context determine whether the emphasis is on an extra amount or separate handling. These uses are connected by the idea of something outside the first set or plan. Check its position and what the following phrase describes before choosing between “in addition,” “separately,” and “extra” in English.
