Sentence pattern

Subject + 从 + source + 中 + gain / discovery

从…中 frames something as the source from which knowledge, experience, or another result is obtained. The source can be a book, a conversation, an activity, or an event that leads to understanding. 中 presents the source as a domain in which the useful material is found, so the meaning often extends well beyond physical movement out of a place.

Put the source between 从 and 中, followed by a predicate describing what is learned, discovered, or gained. The subject may precede the phrase or come later when the source is foregrounded. Unlike 从…到, this pattern does not trace a route between endpoints. Its focus is the relationship between the source and the resulting insight or benefit.
