How to use 尽管

Sentence pattern

尽管 + Verb

尽管 before a verb can reassure someone that they are welcome to carry out the action. It is common when inviting questions, offering help, or encouraging guests to take what they want. The speaker removes hesitation by presenting the action as acceptable and supported. A preceding condition can establish when or why the invitation applies.

Put 尽管 before the encouraged action, and keep any object or complement with that verb. The phrase is more about freedom from concern than about unlimited physical ability. The same written word can also introduce a concession meaning although, so use the sentence relationship to identify its role. In the invitation pattern, the listener is being encouraged to act.
