Sentence pattern

每次 + Event 1 + 都 + Event 2

每次…都… links a recurring occasion with something that happens on each occasion. The clause after 每次 identifies the trigger or situation, while 都 introduces the consistent action or result. This is useful for habits, predictable reactions, and patterns noticed across repeated experiences. The statement concerns every relevant occurrence, rather than just a high frequency.

The two clauses can share a subject or involve different participants. When the subject stays the same, it often appears before 每次 and need not be repeated. When it changes, state the new subject before 都. Negation belongs with the repeated result, allowing you to say that something consistently does not happen whenever the trigger occurs.
