How to use 只要…就
只要 + sufficient condition,subject + 就 + result
只要 presents a condition that is enough for the result to follow. The speaker may promise a response, describe a dependable relationship, or reassure someone that meeting this requirement will suffice. The focus is sufficiency: once the condition is satisfied, no additional condition is being demanded in that statement. The claim's strength still depends on context rather than a grammatical guarantee about reality.
Place 就 in the result clause before the predicate, after its subject when one is stated. Do not confuse this pattern with 只有…才, which says a condition is necessary. A helpful way to check the meaning is to ask whether the sentence offers enough grounds for the result or restricts the available route to it.
