The ticket is for tomorrow

我下午两点到火车站，车票上的时间是三点。

Wǒ xiàwǔ liǎng diǎn dào huǒchēzhàn, chēpiào shang de shíjiān shì sān diǎn.

I arrive at the station at two in the afternoon. The time on my ticket is three.

车站里的人很多，但是时间还早。

Chēzhàn lǐ de rén hěn duō, dànshì shíjiān hái zǎo.

There are lots of people at the station, but it is still early.

一个人看了我的票，对我说：“你明天才走。”

Yí ge rén kàn le wǒ de piào, duì wǒ shuō: “Nǐ míngtiān cái zǒu.”

Someone looks at my ticket and says, “You aren’t leaving until tomorrow.”

我又看了一次，票上的日期真的是明天。

Wǒ yòu kàn le yí cì, piào shang de rìqī zhēn de shì míngtiān.

I look again. The date on the ticket really is tomorrow.

朋友在电话里笑了：“那你今天来我家吃饭吧。”

Péngyou zài diànhuà lǐ xiào le: “Nà nǐ jīntiān lái wǒ jiā chī fàn ba.”

My friend laughs on the phone. “Then come to my place for a meal today.”

我今天不坐火车了，可以和朋友多待一天。

Wǒ jīntiān bú zuò huǒchē le, kěyǐ hé péngyou duō dāi yì tiān.

I won’t be taking a train today. I can stay another day with my friend.
