He sets aside time every day to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing. He found that watching Chinese movies and listening to Chinese songs helped him improve his listening skills and vocabulary. To practice speaking, he often reads texts aloud and talks to himself in Chinese at home.
刚开始进步很慢，但他一直很努力。慢慢地，他发现自己能听懂老师上课说的话了，也能用中文表达自己的想法了。
Progress was slow at first, but he worked very hard. Gradually, he found he could understand what the teacher said in class and express his own ideas in Chinese.
小林说，虽然学习中文有时候让他觉得很累，但是他越来越喜欢这门语言。他觉得，越了解中文，就越能理解中国人的思维方式。
Xiao Lin says that although learning Chinese sometimes makes him feel tired, he likes the language more and more. He believes that the more he learns, the better he understands how Chinese people think.
他相信，只要继续坚持，一定能说得越来越流利。
He believes that as long as he keeps going, he will become more and more fluent.
