My Trip to China

Hello! My name is Li Yue. I’m from the U.S. I’m a student and I study Chinese. I live in the U.S., but I like China. I have a son. He is three years old. He’s very cute and smart.

Today I woke up at 6 a.m. At 8 I took a car to the airport. I took the 8:30 plane to China. The plane was big and beautiful. On the plane, I drank water, read a book, and ate food. I arrived in China at 9 a.m.

Today the weather was good—not cold and not hot. I went to a small restaurant in Beijing. I said, “Hello, I’d like a glass of water.” The server said, “Okay, please wait a moment.” I also ordered some rice.

After eating, I went to school. The school was big and beautiful. At school I saw my teacher. His name is Teacher Wang. He is Chinese, tall, and happy. He asked, “What’s your name?” I said, “My name is Li Yue.” He said, “Welcome!”

At 3 p.m., I saw a classmate. Her name is Xiaohong. She’s from Beijing. We study Chinese and eat together. She asked, “Do you like Beijing?” I said, “I like it a lot.”

I asked her, “How many people are in your family?” She said, “Four: dad, mom, big brother, and me.” I said, “Three: me, my husband, and my son.”

I asked, “How do you come to school?” She said, “By car.” I said, “Me too.”

Today was a happy day. I went to bed at 10. Tomorrow we will see our teacher and watch a movie.
